At the Bicycle Trade Association of Canada (BTAC), our aim is to give you as much control as possible over any personal information you provide. In general, you can visit our site without giving us any personal information. Services within the Bicycle Trade Association of Canada (BTAC) may request certain information about you so that we can deliver the services or information that you request. In such cases, we will inform you before we collect personal information through our site.If you decide to provide us with personal information via our website to register to attend our event, your information will be used in the following capacities: Trade Show
Exhibitors at our Trade Shows will receive a complete list of attendees to enable them to complete any follow up communications directly related to the products and/or services displayed at that event. Your email address is not included in the attendee list provided to exhibitors.
Aggregate Data
BTAC may share aggregate information about its members and customers – not individual data – with exhibitors, potential members and other parties to help them better understand BTAC members and their interests.
Such aggregate information is used to give BTAC demographic data about its members in order to improve the organization and the programs and services we provide.
The information you provide to BTAC – such as your name, address, etc. – allows BTAC to inform you of; subscription offerings to our enewsletter Bike Connexions, about events and activities and to notify you of issues, events or special offers which may be of interest to you. By becoming a member or by requesting information or registering for events offered by BTAC, you are giving BTAC permission to contact you by way of the information you provide. If you tell us you don't want your information to be used as a basis for further contact with you, we will respect your wishes.
