BTAC Seeks Nominations for Board of Directors
The Bicycle Trade Association of Canada, your industry association, and organizer of
The Association will need to fill four positions - two Supplier and two Retailer - due to current Board members completing their terms of office. This is your chance to ensure that the Association is governed with excellence and vision, as our industry moves through the current turbulent economic times.
In addition to the trade show, BTAC lobbies government on behalf of the specialty bicycle industry, conducts market research and provides grants to projects that have significant potential for encouraging the growth of cycling. BTAC is the national voice of cycling in
If you feel that you can contribute, BTAC is seeking applicants who:
* Are experienced in the field of business management at a senior level.
* Have the ability to serve for a minimum of one two-year term and a maximum of three, two-year terms.
* Have the ability to eventually be considered for the role of BTAC President.
* Are experienced with operating in an environment that defines the role of a Board as being focused on setting policy and establishing strategic direction.
* Have the ability to take on BTAC committee responsibilities.
* Work well as part of a team, contribute reasoned opinion and accept and support decisions reached by the Board.
* Are experienced working with a diverse membership and understand cycling issues.
* Are able to commit the time and resources to serve on the Board, committees, attend the annual general meeting, trade show and represent BTAC as requested.
